“I Like How Well Cal-Tex Takes Care of Its Employees”
Cal-Tex Electric is proud of how many talented Journeymen electricians we have, and this month Cal-Tex is recognizing Justen Gamec. Justen has an enthusiastic personality that he brings to Cal-Tex Electric. In July of this year Justen will be with Cal-Tex for six years, and 20 years overall in the electrical services field.
Justen started his career right out of high school. He started as a summer helper and has been doing electrical work ever since. Justen might have started as a helper, but with his hard work and dedication to the trade Justin has become a real star Journeyman for Cal-Tex.
What does Justen like most about working at Cal-Tex? “I like how well Cal-Tex takes care of their employees.” Among the many perks that Cal-Tex provides to our employees, is free education classes for apprentices to work towards their Journeymen licenses.
Justen currently works with project managers, Josh Humphrey and Jennifer Stone, and his foreman is Ryan Vesely. Justen has proven that he is capable to handle any task the project managers throw his way. His most memorable project was the Target Distribution Center located in Fridley, MN. Justen says, “The Target DC was the biggest job I’ve done by myself.” The Target Project was a Design Build, which meant Justen was in charge of coordinating all the trades, and making sure Phase 2, 3 and 4 made smooth transitions. Once again Justin proved that he was the right (journey)man for the job!
Outside of work you can find Justen spending hours outside with his family. We are proud to have him on the Cal-Tex team. Thank you Justen for your dedication to Cal-Tex Electric!
